My private counselling practice is located in central Cambridge at 10c St Edward’s Passage, CB2 3PJ - it’s above the Corpus Christi Playhouse along the alleyway between King’s Parade and the Arts Theatre (with Indigo Cafe and the Bookshop). I also work with 8AKP Therapeutic Consultants on King’s Parade (directly opposite King’s College) and work mostly in person, but also offer online therapy and supervision - this is something that we will talk about before we arrange a first session.

I work with a diverse range of clients both long and short-term, including time limited therapy via a number of EAP providers. Many clients work or study within the education sector and I have a particular interest in working with Postgrad and PhD students.

I am a registered accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and my aim is to provide a warm and friendly, safe and confidential counselling experience for every client. I work flexibly and prefer to adapt my approach to suit your needs, rather than working to one particular counselling approach. I describe the way I work as “interpersonal”, that is to say, I work with you, your feelings and your own life experience. In counselling terms this is called an integrative person-centred approach.

Working at your pace, I will help you look at coping techniques and the underlying causes of many issues, including:

  • Anxiety

  • Low mood

  • Life’s changes and challenges

  • Gaining self-understanding

  • Coming to terms with the past

  • Relationships

It can be very difficult making the decision to go and see a counsellor or therapist, and choosing the right person to talk to is really important. If you would like to talk to me about how I work and to learn more about counselling, please contact me.

What my clients say:

“my counsellor has been exceptional in supporting me to evaluate and manage the situations and challenges that caused me to suffer a stress reaction”

“Attending these counselling sessions has made day to day worries and anxieties easier to understand”
